According to reports, authorities said that the first person killed in the storm appeared in the Asturias area on the morning of the 19th. The killed man was hit by a truck that was out of control due to snow on the road and was unfortunately killed. Two others were frozen to death due to the cold, and one was killed when the roof was overturned by a strong wind while at home.
The Spanish National Weather Service reported that the wind speed in the province of Valencia was as high as 115 kilometers per hour and the waves were 8 meters high.
It is reported that the storm also caused the closure of Alicante Airport and nearly 200 flights were cancelled.
